Al Yusr Establishment was first incorporated in Amman, Jordan in 1999. In 2021, Al Yusr Establishment BVI was incorporated in the British Virgin Islands to enable more effective global transactions, extending the company's oil, refined-products, and commodity trading network into Asian markets.

2006 – 2009

Regional Petroleum Products — refinery and bitumen development

As Managing Partner, led bitumen business development for Regional Petroleum Products, a Saudi Aramco–listed off-taker, following its purchase of a 20,000 BPD oil refinery in Riyadh — including feasibility studies, refinery dismantling, UOP technology transfer, financing coordination with Apicorp, and a crude supply / product off-take arrangement with Vitol.

2012 – 2015

First local supplier of Cytec specialty chemicals to Maaden

Facilitated the registration of Cytec Industries (now part of Solvay) with Maaden Alumina and Maaden Phosphate in Saudi Arabia, becoming the first local company to supply specialty industrial chemicals to both.

Nov 2021 – Present

Al Yusr Establishment BVI — ownership, Iraq consultancy, and active trade

Incorporated in the British Virgin Islands as a registered off-taker with Vitol. Eng. Moayad Awad assumed the role of Owner & Managing Partner, delivering business consultation on a confidential oil refinery project in Iraq — including a feasibility study with Ernst & Young, financing and debt structuring with a regional sovereign fund and the Apicorp-TAEF fund, and technology liaison with UOP Honeywell. In parallel, the company remains actively engaged with Asian buyers, with recent negotiations for 10,000 MT of Fuel Oil and 10,000 MT of GTL out of Fujairah and Hamriyah ports, UAE, and continues to oversee energy and renewable energy projects across the MENA region.

Regional Petroleum Products acquired a Saudi Aramco 20,000 BPD refinery in Riyadh. Work included technical, marketing, and economic feasibility studies, refinery dismantling, UOP technology transfer, Apicorp financing coordination, and a Vitol crude supply / off-take arrangement.

Leadership of a multinational team delivering a greenfield plant start-up in Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone, covering organization design, project scheduling and budgeting, procurement, commissioning, and production trials.
